“Sales Representative” may not be an accurate label for members of the Americast full time sales staff; “Sales Technician” is probably a more appropriate title. Each member of the full service sales staff has extensive knowledge of his or her territory or specialty and all members are well informed of our complete product line. They provide itemized quotes for precast products to project bidders, which easily enables a structure by structure price analysis. They are also available to visit with contractors, engineers, or governing agencies to assist in providing the advantages of precast concrete products to the construction industry.
Engineering
Our experienced technical staff offers the support of available precast options to project engineers seeking a site utility or drainage design that will enable contractors, developers, and owners to benefit from the advantages of utilizing precast concrete components. Our precast products are manufactured and supplied with the support of our Staff Professional Engineers. Custom reinforcing designs and supporting calculations can be provided for our precast structures that may be subjected to extreme conditions (e.g., airports, rail stations, storm water management ponds, etc.).
Field Service
To strengthen our efforts in providing excellent customer service, Americast has designated a full time field service staff equipped to provide on-site services related to our precast concrete products. As an example, encountering unexpected existing utilities may require modifications to our precast components and a field service representative can be scheduled to perform such duties. Some typical services provided are:
- Pipe-to-manhole connector installation
- Drilling
- Step relocation or installation
- Advise and assist in installation of custom products

Quality Assurance

Among our staff are individuals that have been formally trained as concrete technicians and certified at various levels. Americast is also plant certified by highway departments and governing jurisdictions such as MSHA, VDOT, and WSSC.
