Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:  Management of sales, local regulatory affairs, and new product development in a geographic territory comprised of Virginia and North Carolina markets.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Promote manufacturer’s storm water bio-retention management products in the respective territory to civil engineers designing storm water plans.
• Directs and prioritizes company resources to achieve local regulatory acceptance of manufactured products.
• Identifies, communicates and assists in development of new products that meet the needs of clients in the sales territory.
• Possess the ability to work with a variety if individuals such as storm water design engineers, developers, local, state, higher governmental personnel, site contractors, and internal staff of the manufacturer (R & D, Operations, Sales, Accounting, etc.).
• Reports directly to the General Manager.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

EXPERIENCE:

• A minimum of five (5) years experience in sales, marketing, field services, customer service, or related position in storm water management or similarly related construction industry.
• Demonstrated ability to comfortably and confidently present technical product(s) to specifying engineers, developers, regulators, and installers (site contractors) within the past two (2) years.
• Participated in research, development, launch and/or marketing of new products or services within the past two (2) years.

SKILLS:

• Excellent oral, written, interpersonal and listening skills to both external and internal customers.
• Good technical knowledge of regulatory issues in storm water management (SWM); including SWM plans in their overall purpose, functions and details.
• Microsoft Office Suite (especially power point, excel and outlook).

Education, Certifications and/or Other Requirements

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred

COMPENSATION: Based on previous proven work experience.
