Americast Halltown Plant Receives NPCA Certification

Quality and Safety the Hallmark of Halltown Facility

Richmond, VA – Americast is pleased to announce that its precast concrete plant in Halltown, West Virginia has received initial certification from the National Precast Concrete Association (NPCA).

The NPCA Plant Certification Program is a challenging test of a plant’s ability to produce quality precast concrete products.  Administered by Wiss, Janney, Elstner Associates, Inc., a world-renown engineering and materials science firm, the inspection is a comprehensive look at all aspects of precast concrete production, safety and information management.  The plant certification program provides a discipline that management and staff can use to ensure important practices are being followed daily.

According to Ty Gable, President of the NPCA, Americast has proven its commitment to producing the highest quality of precast products by joining this elite group of precasters.  Specifiers and contractors who purchase products from Americast certified plants can be assured that they are buying from a professional organization dedicated to providing the customer quality products.

“The April 2006 inspection was a thorough review of all our safety and quality practices,” said Scott Crumpler, general manager, Americast Halltown, West Virginia.  “The inspector arrived very early and observed our employees all day, concluding in late afternoon with a review of his findings.  We were pleased to learn that our plant received a score above the national average.”
