Americast, Inc. Announces Merger with the Clear Flow Company
Ashland, Virginia -- May 12, 2008
Americast, Inc., a Virginia based manufacturer of precast concrete pipe and structures, and The Clear Flow Company, a precast producer with complementary storm and sanitary products, announced today that they will merge. The combined expertise and market leadership of these two companies creates an opportunity that will enable the merged company to be a cost effective and customer-oriented leader across all markets they serve.
Americast, Inc. is an independently owned precast concrete and reinforced concrete pipe (RCP) manufacturer while Clear Flow makes complementary precast water and sewer packaged systems.

The merger is effective July 1, 2008. The merged company will retain the name Americast, Inc. and continue to operate at all existing facilities. Tichacek will be leading the combined company as President. Employees at both former businesses will be retained.
